What tile values does this use?

The calculator uses the official North American Scrabble (NASPA/OSPD) tile distribution: A=1, B=3, C=3, D=2, E=1, F=4, G=2, H=4, I=1, J=8, K=5, L=1, M=3, N=1, O=1, P=3, Q=10, R=1, S=1, T=1, U=1, V=4, W=4, X=8, Y=4, Z=10. Blank tiles score 0.

How do premium square multipliers work?

Double Letter (DL) and Triple Letter (TL) bonuses apply to a single tile before the word multiplier. Double Word (DW) and Triple Word (TW) bonuses multiply the entire word total (including any letter bonuses) by 2 or 3. Multiple word multipliers stack multiplicatively.

Does this include the 50-point bingo bonus?

No — the 50-point bonus for using all 7 tiles in one play is not included here, since it depends on rack management rather than the word itself. Add 50 manually if you played all 7 tiles.

What about blank tiles?

A blank tile used as any letter scores 0 points. If you are using a blank, type the letter it represents and subtract its normal value from the total yourself, or enter it as a space (which scores 0).
