eDPI (effective DPI) is your mouse DPI multiplied by your in-game sensitivity. It gives a single number that represents your true pointer speed regardless of which game you are in. For example, 800 DPI × 2.0 in-game = 1600 eDPI.

Why does the same number feel different in each game?

Each game applies a proprietary yaw multiplier — the degrees-per-count value that translates raw mouse movement into camera rotation. CS2 uses 0.022 deg/count while Valorant uses 0.07 deg/count, so "1.0" in CS2 is far slower than "1.0" in Valorant.

What is cm/360 and why does it matter?

cm/360 is the physical distance you must move your mouse to rotate the camera a full 360 degrees. It is the only truly universal sensitivity unit because it is independent of DPI and game multipliers. Most pro players prefer 20–50 cm/360.

Is this conversion perfectly accurate?

The conversions use each game's published yaw (degrees per count) values combined with your DPI. They are accurate for hip-fire (non-ADS) sensitivity. ADS multipliers differ per game and per weapon scope, which is outside the scope of this tool.

What DPI should I use?

Most competitive players use 400–1600 DPI and compensate with in-game sensitivity. Lower DPI provides smoother hardware interpolation on most sensors. The eDPI is what ultimately matters — aim for an eDPI that gives a comfortable cm/360.

Does this work for controller sensitivity?

No. This tool covers PC mouse sensitivity only. Controller sensitivity scaling varies greatly between games and involves acceleration curves, not a simple linear multiplier.
