Summary

Run a Tabata-style interval workout with configurable work/rest durations and round count, plus start, pause, and reset controls.

How it works

  1. Set the work duration, rest duration, and number of rounds (defaults to the classic 20s/10s x 8).
  2. Click Start; a short "Get Ready" countdown gives you time to get into position.
  3. The timer alternates WORK and REST phases automatically, counting down each round.
  4. Pause anytime to freeze the countdown, then resume from the exact same point.
  5. When all rounds finish, the timer shows a completion message; click Reset to run it again.

Use cases

  • Time high-intensity interval training (HIIT) sessions at the gym or at home.
  • Run the classic Tabata protocol: 20 seconds work, 10 seconds rest, 8 rounds.
  • Customize work, rest, and round count for circuit training, boxing rounds, or EMOM workouts.
  • Use as a visual countdown during group fitness classes.
  • Track round progress without checking a phone during a workout.
  • Time interval-based tasks outside fitness, like structured study or cooking steps.
