How is the year/month/day breakdown calculated?

The breakdown follows the Gregorian calendar: years are counted first, then remaining months, then remaining days — borrowing from the previous month when needed, just like a standard date difference.

Does the end date count as a full day?

No. By default the calculation is exclusive of the end date, meaning it counts up to but not including the end date. For example, Jan 1 to Jan 2 is 1 day.

What happens if the end date is before the start date?

The tool automatically swaps the two dates and adds a "(dates swapped)" note so the difference is always positive.

How accurate is the time calculation?

When the "Include time" option is on, the total seconds, minutes, and hours reflect the precise millisecond-level difference between the two date-time values.

Can I use this for business or project planning?
