Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser using the docx.js library. Your image never leaves your device.

Which image formats are supported?

PNG is the primary format. JPG, GIF, and WebP images are also accepted — the tool reads each file as raw bytes and embeds them correctly.

Does PNG transparency carry over into the Word document?

Yes. PNG alpha channel transparency is preserved in the .docx file. Word will display the transparent areas against the document background color.

What version of Word can open the .docx file?

The generated file uses the standard OOXML format compatible with Microsoft Word 2007 and later, LibreOffice Writer, and Google Docs.

Can I control the image size in the document?

Yes. Use the width slider to set the image width as a percentage of the document's text area (roughly 6 inches wide). The height scales proportionally.

Why is my image blurry in Word?

The image quality depends on the original file. For best results use a high-resolution PNG (at least 150 DPI). The tool does not resize or compress the image.
