Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser using the docx.js library. Your image never leaves your device.

Which image formats are supported?

JPG and JPEG are the primary formats. PNG, GIF, and WebP images are also accepted — the tool reads the file as raw bytes and embeds them correctly.

What version of Word can open the .docx file?

The generated file uses the standard OOXML format compatible with Microsoft Word 2007 and later, LibreOffice Writer, and Google Docs.

Can I control the image size in the document?

Yes. Use the width slider to set the image width as a percentage of the document's text area (roughly 6 inches wide). The height scales proportionally.

Can I embed multiple images?

This tool embeds one image per document. For multi-image documents, run the tool once per image and merge the resulting files in Word or LibreOffice.

Why is my image blurry in Word?

The image resolution depends on the original file. For best results use a high-resolution JPG (at least 150 DPI). The tool does not resize or compress the image.
