Will this work on scanned PDFs?

Only if the PDF includes a text layer (a searchable PDF). Image-only scans have no embedded text and will return empty slides. You would need OCR software to add a text layer first.

Is my PDF uploaded to any server?

No. All processing happens locally in your browser using PDF.js and PptxGenJS. Your file never leaves your device.

Will my PDF formatting be preserved in the slides?

Only plain text is extracted. Complex layout elements like images, tables, columns, fonts, and text styles are not preserved — each slide contains the raw text from the corresponding PDF page.

How many pages can this tool handle?

Can I edit the slides after downloading?
