Why are no images found in my PDF?

Some PDFs contain text only, or have vector graphics (paths and shapes) rather than raster images. This tool extracts raster image resources embedded in the PDF. Vector illustrations will not appear as images.

What format are the downloaded images?

All images are downloaded as PNG files rendered from the PDF canvas. The resolution matches the image as encoded inside the PDF.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no hard limit imposed by this tool. Very large PDFs may take a few seconds to process because everything runs in the browser.

Can I extract images from password-protected PDFs?

If the PDF has a user password you will be prompted to enter it. Once unlocked, image extraction proceeds normally.
