Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. All inversion is performed using the HTML5 Canvas API entirely inside your browser. Your images never leave your device.

What does Invert RGB do?

Each pixel's red, green, and blue channels are subtracted from 255 (for example, a pixel with R=200 becomes R=55). The alpha channel is untouched. This produces the classic photographic negative look.

What does Invert + Grayscale do?

The tool first inverts each channel as above, then converts the result to grayscale by averaging the three inverted channel values. The output is a monochrome negative.

What does Invert Hue 180 do?

Each pixel is converted from RGB to HSL color space. Its hue value is rotated by 180 degrees (half the color wheel), which swaps complementary colors while keeping lightness and saturation intact. The pixel is then converted back to RGB.

Which output formats are supported?

You can download the inverted image as PNG (lossless, preserves transparency), JPG, or WebP. PNG is recommended when the source image has transparent areas.
