How it works

1. Upload an image by clicking the drop zone or dragging a file onto it.
2. The tool draws your image onto an HTML5 Canvas and caches the original pixel data.
3. Drag the contrast slider left (lower contrast) or right (higher contrast).
4. On each slider change, the tool reads every pixel from the cached original, applies a contrast multiplier scaled around the midpoint value of 128, and clamps the result to 0–255.
5. The adjusted pixels render to the "After" canvas instantly without re-reading the file.
6. Click Download PNG to export the adjusted canvas as a lossless PNG file.
