No. All compression happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your images never leave your device.

Which formats are supported?

JPG/JPEG, PNG, and WebP. PNG uses palette quantization (UPNG); JPG and WebP use Canvas quality settings.

What does quality 100% do?

For PNG: lossless mode, removes only redundant data. For JPG/WebP: maximum quality, minimal compression.

Why is the output sometimes larger than the input?

If compression makes a file larger (which can happen with already-optimized images), the tool keeps the original file size.

Can I compress an image to a specific size like 20KB or 100KB?

Not to an exact byte target. Choose a quality level, click Compress Images, and check the resulting size. If needed, reset and try a lower quality setting.
