Summary

Upload an AVIF image, adjust WebP quality, and download the converted WebP file — all processing happens entirely in your browser.

How it works

  1. Click the upload area or drag and drop an AVIF file onto it.
  2. Your browser decodes the AVIF image natively (Chrome 85+, Firefox 93+, Safari 16.4+).
  3. Use the quality slider to choose WebP output quality (1–100, default 85).
  4. The decoded image is drawn onto an HTML Canvas element and exported as WebP.
  5. Click "Download WebP" to save the converted file to your device.

Use cases

  • Convert AVIF images to WebP for CMS platforms that accept WebP but not AVIF.
  • Prepare AVIF photos for web publishing workflows that require WebP input.
  • Reduce file size compared to PNG while keeping lossless-like quality with WebP.
  • Share AVIF images with platforms whose upload validators only accept WebP.
  • Batch-convert AVIF design exports to WebP for front-end asset pipelines.
