Summary
Enter base damage, attack speed, crit chance, and crit multiplier to instantly see effective DPS and how much crits contribute.
How it works
- Enter the base damage dealt per hit (non-crit hit value).
- Enter attack speed as hits per second (e.g. 1.5 means 1.5 attacks per second).
- Set critical hit chance as a percentage from 0 to 100.
- Set the critical hit multiplier (e.g. 2.0 means crits deal 2× base damage).
- The calculator shows effective DPS, normal-hit DPS, crit DPS contribution, and the percentage of total DPS from crits.
Use cases
- Compare two weapons to determine which gives higher sustained DPS.
- Evaluate whether stacking crit chance beats stacking raw attack speed.
- Estimate how a crit multiplier upgrade changes overall damage output.
- Plan character builds in RPGs by modeling different stat combinations.
- Verify game mechanics: confirm that the formula matches in-game tooltip values.
- Quickly compute DPS for speedrun planning or boss fight preparation.
