Current Time in Zurich

Summary

This tool shows the current local time in Zurich, Switzerland using the Europe/Zurich IANA timezone. It automatically accounts for Central European Time (CET, UTC+1) in winter and Central European Summer Time (CEST, UTC+2) during daylight saving, so the displayed offset is always accurate. The clock updates every second directly in your browser with no server calls.

How it works

1. Your browser reads the current UTC timestamp.
2. The Intl.DateTimeFormat API converts it to the Europe/Zurich timezone.
3. The live clock updates every second on your screen.
4. The UTC offset (CET or CEST) is derived from the same API and shown alongside the time.
5. Date, day of the week, and week number are displayed below the clock for full context.
