How it works

1. Paste or type your Chinese text into the input area.
2. The tool scans every character against the CJK Unified Ideograph Unicode ranges (U+4E00–U+9FFF and extensions).
3. Sentences are detected by Chinese and Western sentence-ending punctuation (。！？.!?).
4. Paragraphs are counted by splitting on newline characters.
5. Reading time is estimated at 350 Chinese characters per minute.
6. All counts update live on every keystroke — no button press needed.
