How is the percentage calculated?

Percentage = (Correct Answers / Total Questions) × 100. If extra-credit is entered, it is added to correct answers first. If a curve is entered, it is added to the final percentage.

What letter grade scale does this use?

The default scale is A (90–100%), B (80–89%), C (70–79%), D (60–69%), F (below 60%). This is the most common US grading scale.

Can I score above 100%?

Yes. Extra-credit or a curve can push your score above 100%. The calculator displays the actual percentage without capping it.

What is the difference between a curve and extra credit?

Extra credit adds points to your correct-answer count before the percentage is computed. A curve is added directly to the final percentage — for example, a 5-point curve turns a 78% into an 83%.
