How the Math Works
Your overall grade is the weighted sum of your pre-final grade and your final exam score:
Overall = Current × (1 − Weight) + Exam × Weight
Solving for the exam score gives: Required = (Desired − Current × (1 − Weight)) / Weight. All percentages are treated as decimals internally (e.g., 85% becomes 0.85).
