Score Breakdown

TD Rate 0.0%
INT Rate 0.0%
Base Passer Rating 0.0
Sack Rate 0.0%
Rushing Yards / Play 0.0

Base passer rating uses the standard NFL formula from completion percentage, yards per attempt, touchdown rate, and interception rate, rescaled to 0-100. Sack rate then subtracts points and rushing production adds points back, before clamping the result to 0-100.

Summary

Enter passing and rushing stats to get a simplified, 0-100 quarterback efficiency estimate, not ESPN's proprietary Total QBR.

How it works

  1. Enter completions, attempts, passing yards, passing touchdowns, and interceptions.
  2. Add sacks taken and rushing yards and touchdowns, if any (leave at 0 if not tracking those).
  3. The tool computes a standard passer rating from the passing stats, then rescales it to a 0-100 range.
  4. A sack-rate penalty and a rushing-production bonus adjust the base score.
  5. The final score, and each component behind it, updates live as you type.

Use cases

  • Compare two quarterbacks' box-score efficiency using stats anyone can look up.
  • Estimate a rough efficiency score for a fantasy football or dynasty league discussion.
  • Check how much a mobile quarterback's rushing stats change their overall efficiency picture.
  • See how sacks taken pull down an otherwise strong passing performance.
  • Build a quick post-game efficiency snapshot without access to ESPN's proprietary data feed.
  • Teach the difference between a box-score passer rating and a win-probability-based rating like real QBR.
