Is any of my data uploaded to a server?

No. The PDF is built entirely in your browser using the pdf-lib library. Nothing you configure is sent anywhere.

How many staves can I fit on one page?

Choose from 6 to 16 staves per page. The generator centers each staff evenly in the available space, so more staves per page means less space between them.

What staff line spacing should I use?

Standard manuscript paper uses about 3 to 3.5 mm between lines. Pick a wider spacing for beginner handwriting practice or a tighter spacing to fit more music on a page.

Does this add a clef, barlines, or a brace?

No. This generates blank 5-line staves only, so you can add your own clefs, key signatures, and barlines by hand.

Why does it say the staves don't fit the page?

If the line spacing multiplied by the number of staves is larger than the printable area, staves would overlap. Reduce the staves per page or pick a smaller line spacing to fix it.

Will the PDF print at the exact spacing I chose?

Yes, as long as your printer is set to print at 100% scale ("Actual Size"), not "Fit to Page," which would resize the spacing.
