Summary
This calculator turns filament weight into a dollar cost for a 3D print. Price the filament either by cost per kilogram or by the price of the whole spool plus its net weight, and the tool derives the per-gram rate for you. Turn on the electricity add-on to fold in the printer's power draw and print time at your local electricity rate for a full print cost.
How it works
- Enter the filament weight used for the print, in grams.
- Choose Price per kg or Price per spool as the pricing method.
- For price per spool, enter the spool price and its net filament weight.
- Optionally enable the electricity add-on and enter printer wattage, print hours, and your rate per kWh.
- The result panel shows filament cost, electricity cost, and the total print cost.
