No. This is a transparent estimator built entirely from the numbers you enter: projected points, position, and risk. KeepTradeCut and FantasyPros use their own proprietary or crowd-sourced valuation models that are not public formulas, so this tool does not attempt to reproduce them. Use this when you want a value based on your own projections, not a platform's opinion.

How is the trade value score calculated?

Each player's projected points are multiplied by a position weight (running backs and wide receivers get a slight scarcity premium over quarterbacks and tight ends in most formats) and a risk multiplier (low risk keeps full value, medium and high risk apply a discount). The result is that player's trade value score. Scores are summed per side of the trade.

What counts as "risk" for a player?

Risk is your own judgment call, covering things like injury history, age decline, contract or role uncertainty, or a crowded backfield. Pick low, medium, or high for each player. It is a manual adjustment, not a stat the tool looks up.

Should I use weekly or rest-of-season projections?

Either works, as long as you use the same basis for every player in the trade. Mixing a weekly projection for one player with a rest-of-season projection for another will make the comparison meaningless.

Why do two players with the same points get different scores?

Position weight and risk adjustment both scale the raw points. A running back and a tight end with identical projected points can end up with different trade value scores because of the position weight difference, and a low-risk player will score higher than a high-risk player with the same projection.

Can I use this for dynasty leagues?

Yes, as long as your point projections reflect the time horizon your dynasty league cares about (for example, a full rebuild window). Enter a higher risk level for aging veterans or injury-prone players to reflect the added dynasty risk.
