Is my spreadsheet uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens locally in your browser using SheetJS and the HTML5 Canvas API. Your file never leaves your device.

Which file formats are supported?

The tool accepts .xlsx (Excel 2007+), .xls (legacy Excel), and .csv files. Other formats like .ods are not currently supported.

Can I choose which sheet to convert?

Yes. After uploading, a sheet selector appears so you can pick any sheet from the workbook. Each sheet is converted individually.

Are charts and images from Excel included in the JPG?

No. This tool converts cell data (text and numbers) into a table image. Embedded charts, images, and complex formatting such as merged cells are not rendered.

How do I get a higher-resolution output?

The canvas renders at 2x device pixel ratio by default for retina-quality output. Reducing the font size or increasing the column width will also affect the density and resolution of the final image.

Why would I export Excel as JPG instead of PDF?

JPG images are universally viewable without any reader application, load instantly on social media, and can be embedded directly in web pages or emails without plugins. Use PDF when you need multi-page or print-quality output.

Will formulas show values or expressions?

SheetJS reads computed cell values, so formulas display their calculated result rather than the formula expression.

Is there a row or column limit?

There is no enforced limit, but very large sheets will produce a tall image. The canvas preview is scrollable, and you can reduce the number of rows shown using the row limit option.
