What grade point scale does this use?

The calculator uses the standard 4.0 scale: A+/A = 4.0, A- = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0, B- = 2.7, C+ = 2.3, C = 2.0, C- = 1.7, D+ = 1.3, D = 1.0, D- = 0.7, F = 0.0. Some schools assign A+ a value of 4.3 — adjust your calculation accordingly if your institution differs.

Does this calculator affect my cumulative GPA?

No. This tool calculates only your semester GPA for the courses you enter. To find your cumulative GPA, use a cumulative GPA calculator that factors in credits from previous semesters.

What if my school does not use plus/minus grades?

Just use the base letter grades (A, B, C, D, F). The result will be identical — the plus/minus options are simply there if your school uses them.
