How are the teams balanced?

In "By team count" mode the names are shuffled then distributed round-robin across teams, so teams differ by at most one member. In "By team size" mode names are chunked into blocks of the requested size; the last team may be smaller if the total does not divide evenly.

Is the shuffle truly random?

Yes. The generator uses a Fisher-Yates shuffle backed by crypto.getRandomValues, which draws from the browser's cryptographically secure entropy source — not the predictable Math.random function.

What does the "{adjective}-{animal}" template do?

Instead of naming teams "Team 1", "Team 2", and so on, each team gets a randomly combined adjective-animal label such as "Swift-Falcon" or "Bold-Otter". Names are picked from built-in lists each time you generate.

Can I re-shuffle without re-entering names?

Yes. The Shuffle Again button runs a fresh shuffle on the same name list and regenerates the teams, so you can keep reshuffling until you are happy with the result.

Is any data sent to a server?

No. All processing happens entirely in your browser. No names, team assignments, or any other data are transmitted anywhere.
