No. Every name is assembled by randomly pairing a first name and a last name from fictional lists baked into the page. Any resemblance to a real person is coincidental.

Is any data sent to a server?

Nothing is transmitted. All generation happens client-side in your browser using JavaScript. No account or API key is required.

What does "origin" mean?

Origin controls the pool of names used. American draws from common US first and last names; British uses English surname lists; Hispanic uses Spanish/Latin first names and surnames; French, German, and Japanese use culturally appropriate name pools.

How many names can I generate at once?

Can I copy individual names?
