Type or paste Chinese characters and get the Pinyin romanization with tone marks instantly in your browser.

How it works

1. Paste or type Chinese characters (Hanzi) into the input box.
2. Each character is looked up in a built-in Pinyin dictionary of common Mandarin characters.
3. The result shows Pinyin syllables with tone marks (ā á ǎ à) above the corresponding character.
4. Toggle between tone marks and tone numbers (e.g. ma1, ma2) using the format button.
5. Characters not in the dictionary pass through unchanged.
6. Click "Copy Pinyin" to copy the result to your clipboard.
