Does the image get uploaded to a server?

No. All resizing happens inside your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your image never leaves your device.

What image formats can I upload?

Any format your browser supports — typically JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF (first frame), BMP, and SVG.

No. PNG is always lossless. The quality slider only applies to JPEG and WebP output.
