Summary
Enter up to 20 score differentials and instantly get your Golf Handicap Index per the World Handicap System (WHS).
How it works
- Enter each score differential (Adjusted Gross Score minus Course Rating, divided by Slope Rating, multiplied by 113) for your recent rounds.
- The WHS lookup table determines how many of your lowest differentials to use based on the total number you enter.
- The selected lowest differentials are averaged.
- The average is multiplied by 0.96 (the WHS playing conditions adjustment factor).
- The result is truncated to one decimal place and capped at 54.0 to produce your Handicap Index.
Use cases
- Track your improving or declining performance over multiple rounds.
- Confirm your club-issued handicap index matches the official WHS formula.
- Estimate your handicap before your club officially processes new scores.
- Compare handicap index changes as you add more rounds over time.
- Learn how the WHS formula weights your best recent performances.
- Calculate a provisional handicap when joining a new club.
