How is the fuel cost calculated?

For MPG: cost = (distance / MPG) x price per gallon x trip multiplier. For L/100 km: cost = (distance / 100) x consumption x price per liter. For km/L: cost = (distance / km per liter) x price per liter. The trip multiplier is 2 for round trips and 1 for one-way.

How does the per-passenger split work?

The total fuel cost is divided equally among all passengers (including the driver). Set the passenger count to 1 if you are driving alone.

Does this tool save my data?

No. The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to any server and the inputs reset when you refresh the page.
