How it works

  1. Read each of the 10 questions about how your skin has affected you over the past week.
  2. Select the answer that best describes your experience: Very Much (3), A Lot (2), A Little (1), or Not at All / Not Relevant (0).
  3. For question 7 (work/study), choose "Prevented work" for a score of 3 if your skin stopped you working.
  4. The tool sums all 10 responses to produce a score from 0 to 30.
  5. Your score is mapped to a band: 0–1 (no effect), 2–5 (small), 6–10 (moderate), 11–20 (very large), 21–30 (extremely large effect).
