Summary

This tool measures how fast you type or read by running a short timed test. For typing, you reproduce a passage and the tool counts correct words per minute alongside accuracy. For reading, you read a passage at your own pace then click Done — the tool calculates your reading speed from elapsed time and word count. All computation happens in your browser; no data is sent to any server.

How it works

1. Choose Typing Test or Reading Test using the mode toggle.
2. Click Start Test to begin the timed session.
3. Typing mode: type the highlighted passage into the input box.
4. Reading mode: read the displayed passage at your natural pace, then click Done.
5. Your WPM score and accuracy (typing only) appear instantly when the test ends.
6. Click Try Again to retest with a new passage.
