What does the MIDAS score measure?

MIDAS measures the number of days in the past 3 months where migraines caused you to miss or be significantly less productive in paid work, household work, and social or leisure activities. Higher scores mean greater disability.

What are the four MIDAS grades?

Grade I (0–5): minimal or infrequent disability. Grade II (6–10): mild or infrequent disability. Grade III (11–20): moderate disability. Grade IV (21+): severe disability. Grade III and IV typically indicate a need for preventive therapy.

How are questions A and B used?

Questions A (headache days per 3 months) and B (average pain intensity 0–10) are recorded as context for your clinician but are NOT added to the MIDAS score itself.
