Strength depends on the selected pattern. With the bundled word lists, generated choices span roughly 17–27 bits and should not replace a password-manager-generated random password for important accounts.

Are the passwords sent to a server?

No. All generation happens entirely in your browser using the Web Crypto API. Nothing is transmitted anywhere.

Why use words instead of random characters?
