How it works
- Click "Choose Image" and select any JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF file from your device.
- The image is drawn onto a hidden Canvas element.
- Use the "Pixel Size" slider to choose the size of each pixel block (2 px – 100 px).
- The Canvas downscales the image to block-grid resolution and scales back up, creating the pixelation.
- Preview updates live as you drag the slider.
- Click "Download" to save the pixelated image as a PNG file.
Use cases
- Create retro pixel art from photographs.
- Censor or anonymize faces and sensitive regions in screenshots.
- Generate a mosaic thumbnail or placeholder for a design mockup.

- Quickly test how an image looks at very low resolutions.
- Add a creative pixelation overlay to marketing visuals.
