How it works

  1. Add one or more process steps using the "Add Step" button (up to 8 steps).
  2. Enter the number of units started and units passed without rework for each step.
  3. The calculator shows the FPY for each individual step as you type.
  4. Rolled Throughput Yield (RTY) is calculated as the product of all step FPYs.
  5. DPMO is derived from RTY: DPMO = (1 − RTY) × 1,000,000.
  6. Sigma level is estimated from DPMO using a standard lookup table.
