Does this tool support quoted fields with commas inside?

Yes. Fields wrapped in double quotes (RFC 4180 style) are handled correctly, including commas and newlines inside quoted values.

Is my data sent to a server?

No. All processing happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your data never leaves your device.

What delimiter does this tool support?

The primary delimiter is a comma. The tool also auto-detects tab-separated values (TSV). You can switch between comma and tab using the delimiter selector.

Does the first row become the table header?

Yes. The first row of your CSV is treated as the header row and placed above the Markdown separator line (---|---|---). Toggle the "First row is header" option if your data has no header.

Can I control column alignment?

Yes. Use the alignment buttons to set each column to left, center, or right alignment. The separator row (---) is updated accordingly with colons.

What happens with empty cells?

Empty cells are preserved as blank table cells. Column widths are padded to keep the table visually aligned when rendered.
