Summary
Enter your batter's plate stats to instantly compute OBP, SLG, and OPS with quality tier ratings.
How it works
- Enter at-bats, hits, doubles, triples, and home runs for the batter.
- Enter walks (BB), hit-by-pitches (HBP), and sacrifice flies (SF).
- On-base Percentage (OBP) = (H + BB + HBP) ÷ (AB + BB + HBP + SF).
- Slugging Percentage (SLG) = Total Bases ÷ AB, where TB = 1×singles + 2×doubles + 3×triples + 4×HR.
- OPS = OBP + SLG. Results are color-coded by MLB quality tier.
Use cases
- Evaluate a batter's overall offensive contribution for fantasy baseball.
- Compare OPS across players on your roster to make lineup decisions.
- Track a player's OPS progression through the season.
- Analyze historical batting lines from boxscores.
- Calculate OPS for amateur or youth league batters.
- Understand the difference between contact hitters and power hitters numerically.
