Summary

Paste your text, choose a column width, and get it wrapped — hard or soft — with paragraph breaks preserved.

How it works

  1. Paste or type your text into the input box.
  2. Set the desired column width (default 80 characters).
  3. Choose Hard Wrap to insert actual newlines, or Soft Wrap to break at word boundaries without cutting words.
  4. Toggle "Preserve Paragraphs" to keep blank lines between paragraphs.
  5. Click Wrap Text — the reformatted output appears instantly.
  6. Copy the result with one click.

Use cases

  • Format long emails or letters to fit a fixed-width display.
  • Wrap code comments to comply with an 80- or 100-column style guide.
  • Prepare plain-text pastes for terminals or IRC with a set line limit.
  • Reformat exported documents or Markdown before committing to version control.
  • Wrap README or changelog text to 72 columns for git commit messages.
  • Quickly reflow pasted paragraphs that arrived as one long line.
