Summary
Round clock-in/clock-out times to the nearest 6, 10, or 15 minutes and see original vs. rounded hours with pay impact.
How it works
- Enter a clock-in time and clock-out time for each entry.
- Select a rounding interval: 6 minutes (1/10 hour), 10 minutes (1/6 hour), or 15 minutes (1/4 hour).
- Each time is independently rounded to the nearest interval boundary.
- The tool computes original decimal hours and rounded decimal hours for each row.
- Enter an optional hourly rate to see the pay difference caused by rounding.
- Add multiple entries to handle a full workday or week.
Use cases
- Verify payroll accuracy before submitting timesheets.
- Audit payroll rounding policies for FLSA compliance.
- Estimate weekly pay when your employer rounds to the nearest quarter hour.
- Calculate whether rounding is neutral or skewed over a pay period.
- Train HR staff on how different rounding intervals affect take-home pay.
- Compare 6-minute vs. 15-minute rounding on the same time entries.
