Why do some letters not convert?

Unicode only defines superscript equivalents for a subset of Latin letters. Uppercase Q, S, X, Y, Z and a few lowercase letters have no standard superscript code point, so they pass through as-is. All ten digits (0–9) and the most common lowercase letters are fully supported.

Are these real Unicode characters?

Yes. Each converted character is a genuine Unicode code point, not an HTML tag or CSS trick. They render as superscript glyphs in any Unicode-aware application — SMS, Twitter, Word, Excel, and beyond.

How is this different from HTML <sup> tags?

HTML tags only work inside web pages and are stripped by most social platforms and messaging apps. Unicode superscript characters are plain text, so they survive copy-paste into any environment without losing their appearance.

Can I use the output in social media?

Yes. The characters paste directly into Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Discord, and most other platforms. Since they are regular Unicode text the platform has no reason to strip them.

What happens to unsupported characters?
