What Markdown flavors are supported?

Why isn't my HTML rendering?

Make sure you are in "Preview" mode (not "Show raw HTML"). Also check that your Markdown is well-formed — for example, table rows need a separator line (|---|---| ) directly below the header row, and fenced code blocks must open and close with matching triple backticks.

How do I escape special characters?

Prefix any Markdown special character with a backslash to treat it as a literal character. For example, \* renders as *, \# renders as #, and \[ renders as [. Inside inline code or fenced code blocks, no escaping is needed.

Can I add syntax highlighting?

This converter adds a language class (e.g., language-javascript) to fenced code blocks. To add syntax highlighting, copy the HTML output and include a client-side library such as Prism.js or highlight.js in your target page — they pick up those classes automatically.
