How it works

1. Paste or type a MAC address in any common format (colon, dash, or dotted notation).
2. The tool strips separators and reads the first 6 hex digits (the OUI prefix).
3. It looks up the OUI in a bundled vendor table covering common manufacturers.
4. The vendor name, address type (unicast/multicast), and assignment scope (global/local) are displayed.
