Does this tool fetch live ETH prices?

Yes, hourly. The price box is pre-filled from our own rate table, which takes ETH prices from CoinGecko every hour, and the line under it shows when that price was last updated. It does not stream prices tick by tick, so type your exchange's price over it when you need the exact figure.

How do I find the current ETH/GBP rate?

Search "ETH GBP" on Google, or check Coinbase, Kraken, or Binance. The mid-market rate is usually shown at the top of the search results.

Why would I use this instead of a live converter?

How accurate are the results?

Results are as accurate as the rate you enter. The converter uses standard floating-point arithmetic rounded to 2 decimal places for GBP and 6 decimal places for ETH.
