Where does the exchange rate come from?

You supply the rate yourself by pasting it from any exchange or price tracker you trust (Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, CoinGecko, etc.). The tool never fetches live data, so it works offline and never exposes your queries to a third party.

How accurate is the conversion?

The arithmetic is exact to 8 decimal places for BTC (the maximum precision of a satoshi) and 2 decimal places for EUR. Rounding errors are avoided by working with floating-point numbers internally and rounding only for display.

What is a satoshi and can I convert it?

A satoshi is the smallest Bitcoin unit: 0.00000001 BTC. You can enter fractional values like 0.00001 in the BTC field and the tool will calculate the Euro equivalent correctly.

Why is there no live rate?
