Summary

Enter two parent genotypes for a single gene, and instantly see the 2x2 Punnett square with genotype and phenotype ratios.

How it works

  1. Enter the two alleles for Parent 1 (e.g., A and a for heterozygous Aa).
  2. Enter the two alleles for Parent 2 (e.g., A and a).
  3. The tool fills the 2x2 Punnett square by pairing each parent 1 allele with each parent 2 allele.
  4. Genotypes of all four cells are tallied and expressed as ratios (e.g., 1 AA : 2 Aa : 1 aa).
  5. Phenotypes are derived from dominance: one uppercase allele produces the dominant phenotype.
  6. Results display as a visual grid plus percentage bars for genotypes and phenotypes.
