Summary

Enter your object volume, infill, filament type, and spool price to get filament length, weight, and cost.

How it works

  1. Enter the object volume in cubic centimeters (cm³) — export this from your slicer software.
  2. Set the infill percentage (0–100%). Higher infill = more material used.
  3. Choose your filament material (PLA, ABS, PETG, etc.) or enter a custom density.
  4. Enter your filament diameter (typically 1.75 mm or 2.85 mm).
  5. Add your spool price and weight to get a per-print cost estimate.
  6. Read the results: filament length in meters, weight in grams, and estimated cost.

Use cases

  • Estimate material cost before starting a long print job.
  • Compare costs across different filament materials for the same model.
  • Calculate how many prints you can get from a single spool.
  • Budget filament purchases for a batch of identical parts.
  • Check if a model requires more filament than a partially used spool.
